Background and Qualifications
* Graduated in 1965 from the Marinello School of Beauty in San Francisco.
* 27 years experience as a professional hair stylist.
* Specializing in unique and creative Wedding & Special Occasion designs for the past 15 years
* Extensive continuing education training and seminars, including hands-on courses focused on up-do's, wedding styles and high fashion/runway styles.
* Experience creating beautiful hair for over 300 weddings working with up 10 persons at a time in a single wedding party.
I realized I was drawn to the hair industry, and especially this aspect of it, in High School. I would repair the " up-do's " that the girls had gone to a salon for, and came out traumatized with the look. I was always able to "fix it," and actually began making money to pay for my school dance tickets. The creativity and fun of beautifying the girls came naturally to me.
After graduating from beauty college, I've consistently furthered my education in all aspects, with a concentration on coloring techniques, up-do's and high-end styles.
I've attended extended education classes through Gary Gerhard in professinal chemical procedures. I continued my education with " high end " stylists such as Heidi Blam, who's best know for working closely with Vera Wang in the wedding world, and more familiarly known Cristopher Lind, as well as others. Through these styling workshops I've been able tocontinuously fine-tune my techniques focused on high fashion styles for special occasions and or course, weddings! I've learned short cut procedures on the establishing the base to form an up-do, and simplifyng techniques, so as to save time and still acheive beautiful and satisfactory results. Being creative, and able to make fabulous hair in a shorter amount of time is important when handling a number of individuals for a single wedding party.
Most of all, I have a passion for my work and truly enjoy working with people on such a joyous occasion. I love being a part of making your dream day come true, and helping you do it in style!
